County 4 Ball Championship Draw

Please see below the rules and the first round draw for the very first County 4 Ball Championship. This championship is designed to try and be more inclusive of golfers of all standards. We are slightly disappointed at only having 21 entries however in the first year it is ok. Hopefully a successful tournament this year will lead to a much increased entry in the future.

Thanks to all who have entered for their support.

David Buchanan Wins County Strokeplay Championship

Congratulations to David Buchanan of Falkirk Tryst Golf Club on winning the 2017 Stirlingshire Golf Union Strokeplay Championship with a combined total of 145 three shots clear of 2nd placed Stuart Irving of Falkirk Golf Club. In 3rd place was very impressive 15 year old Sebastian Sandin of Dunblane New Golf Club who was one shot further back on 149.

I think for the first time ever 3 players from our under 16 boys team have qualified for the Matchplay stages. Congratulations to Sebastian Sandin (Dunblane New), Ross Laird and Ben Carberry both Falkirk Golf Club on this fantastic achievement.

Congratulations also to Falkirk Golf Club who have qualified to represent Stirlingshire at the Scottish Club Championship in September.

Please see below the results and the draw for the Matchplay at Kilsyth Lennox Golf Club on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th August.
